About Us

Imagine a community that is resilient, self-sufficient, and ready to face any challenge that comes its way. This is the vision that drives TRANSID, a non-profit organization that works industriously to build resilient communities in Ghana's Upper West Region.

Established in 2019, TRANSID is a trailblazer in the field of community development. We work with communities to prepare for and recover from both foreseen and unforeseen hazards.

Our team of passionate development agents manages multi-faceted programs that focus on self-help and community resilience systems, through research, advocacy, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement.

At TRANSID, we see localization as the key to building community resilience. By empowering communities to deal with crises in the absence of external support, we work with them to adapt to and persist through changing circumstances. We team up with communities and partners to create a more resilient and self-sufficient future for all, by working closely with communities to identify their needs, and provide them with the tools and support they need to thrive. Nonetheless we don't stop there. At TRANSID, we are always striving to be the best. We are constantly researching and developing new strategies to ensure that our work is always at the cutting edge of community development. We believe in competition, and we are always pushing ourselves to do better.  With our team of professionals and volunteers, innovative strategies, and relentless pursuit of excellence, we are the clear choice for building resilient communities that can weather any storm.
